Best OG final fantasy 7 experience
Also, keep in mind that many of the quality of life improvements like 60 FPS come from a single project, FFNx: https://github.com/julianxhokaxhiu/FFNx I guess it comes with 7th Heaven "built in" now but you could always try this out for another easy option.

The curse of bad PC ports for someone who primarily plays on PC.
Hope that FFNx stops being so focused on FF7 and give FF8 some love (there's some hope now that FF7 has a 60 FPS beta)

In the steam version, can you turn off random encounters and enable 3x speed like the console versions?
There's a FF7 game driver called "FFNx" that lets you do that. You can read more information here. However, coming from their website, it seems that Reunion is actually using their own driver (Aali), so I'm not sure how that would work out.
