How can I use C++ libraries/SDKs?
I have been using C++ for a while but never really touched on using a full on SDK and now I want to use this SDK from Valve but my issue is that it isn't clear to me how to use it. What I mean by this is that it comes with a lot of subdirectories and extra stuff but how can I make a hello world program and able to call functions from the header file included in this SDK? I have used .h files before so I understand how the linker and all that works but with such a robust SDK I am not getting how this works on VSCode or maybe that I shouldn't even be using VSCode?

Porting game to VR - water shader messed up
1) I considered switching a while back, but I was already really far in by the time I realized that OpenVR was outdated. If you search for SteamVR, OpenVR comes up as the API to use, and the github site does not mention it being deprecated anywhere. It's generally not obvious unless you are specifically searching for confirmation of obsolescence. In any case, my question is API agnostic.

How are we supposed to build a metaverse when I can't share a simple .exe demo anymore like the old days?
OpenVR is open to anybody writing a driver to support their equipment there. Anybody can do it. Always has been. Citation, for my point: https://github.com/ValveSoftware/openvr

dll mod to add the option of controller rotation offsets to any OpenXR game.
This is awesome! I requested something similar back in 2019 (https://github.com/ValveSoftware/openvr/issues/1262) but Valve never delivered.

[G2 Reverb] New SteamVR Update broke recentering?
Thank you for this! I am familiar with Steam Depot and rolling back updates, but when I looked into it for SteamVR, it seemed like it required several Depots and I wasn't willing to go that ham into it just yet (before asking for help). Luckily my problem was fixed by simply removing OVRAS, but maybe your solution will help someone else, so I very much appreciate the effort you put into your answer as well!

[Mod release] Bullet Time V.A.T.S VR
VAFS Redux works well in VR in my experience and you don't need to use quick slots for activation since you can send keyboard hotkeys in VR using OpenVR2Key or OpenVR-AdvancedSettings.

the PERCNOPS VIRTUAL RIG has been released, get it now on Steam : (VR tool to emulate virtual interfaces such as gamepads and steering wheels for PC games)
For Steam you could probably use an Overlay app. Examples of this include https://github.com/dantman/elite-vr-cockpit, https://github.com/OpenVR-Advanced-Settings/OpenVR-AdvancedSettings and https://github.com/pottedmeat7/OpenVR-WalkInPlace (or Natural Locomotion)

MixedVR Manager first-time setup issues (and just general SteamVR headaches)
I'm curious what you mean by MixedVR Manager is broken. After reading a lot of github it is sounding like the SteamVR room setup loop may be a bug / problem with OVR Advanced Settings...

I don't think OpenVR Advanced Settings does exactly what you're asking but you might be able to tweak it a bit to get what you want.
