WaveFunctionCollapse: Generates bitmaps that are locally similar to the input
I played around a lot with this library:
https://github.com/BorisTheBrave/DeBroglie
Fun stuff, but I struggled to get a lot of value out of using it for level gen. You get cool patterns, but levels need structure and intent to be interesting. Adding constraints to the algorithm becomes a big-oh nightmare and you end up with frequently unsolvable paths as the algorithm recurses.
The game Bad North used it to good effect, so depending on the game it may be a very useful tool in the toolbelt.

Is there a way to change zoom?
If none of this sounds appealing, the only other suggestions I have are either find 3rd party magnifying lens software or to search for a new pixel editor. There are some newer pixel art editors out there, such as Pixelorama, PixiEditor and PixelMash. There are also general raster image editors, such as GIMP and Krita. Other suggestions are listed on Lospec.

I'm giving out microgrants to open source projects for the third year in a row! Brag about your projects here so I can see them, big or small!
https://pixieditor.net - a pixel art editor, I've been making it for about 5 years. For last 2 years 2 people joined me and we've gained about 5k downloads. We have big plans for it. We have open collective, but unfortunately no donations yet. It will always be free and we want it to be like blender, but in pixel-art world. There will be full featured animation suite, cross-platform and most importantly, user friendly :)

I really want to get into pixel art but I am having an issue finding a good platform to use. Any recommendations?
You can check pretty good software list here. There is also new, small but devoloping software, named PixiEditor. If you know how to get stuff from Github, here is the link.
