It's been a couple year since I set up a server, and my fiancé and I figured we wanted a place to hang out with some friends, and I have a VPS not going much, so I figured I'd get us going, thinking I'd spend the whole evening just installing packages and configuring Java and all that jazz and well... I found the Docker Minecraft server project and wow that's easy to get going! I already have Docker on the VPS since it's running my blog, and so getting a server running was literally a single command! Quickly whip up a config file, restart the server, and there it is! Spigot installed, plugins installed, just need to configure one or two settings, and we can get going!

For setting it up: * Install any Linux Distribution. * Install Docker-Compose. * create a docker-compose-File and put all the services you want into it * add !(itzg/minecraft-server)[https://hub.docker.com/r/itzg/minecraft-server] * set it to -TYPE=PAPER (or whatever...) * forward Port 25565 in your Router-Settings * throw your plugins into the plugin folder, e.g. !(Hibernate)[https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/hibernate.4441/]
Docker MC Server Question
If you read the relevant section, you would note that you can indeed add OPs after initializing the server, but using the environment variable will only add OPs, not remove them. Unless you also set `OVERRIDE_OPS='true'`, which will completely recreate the `ops.json` file every time.
I've gone through and followed this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8uZB-ZMjdqM and made a MC Server using this docker image: https://github.com/itzg/docker-minecraft-server

After renting a server from them, you have to ssh into it (which creates a secure connection for you to run commands onto the server), install docker (which installs its own pre-requisites on its own), and look at the Readme on this. Then, it's as easy as connecting onto your server, with the port provided, and you're done.

I'd like to find out if there is an open source management tool with a GUI interface that can be installed as a Docker image. I'd like to manage Docker Minecraft servers. Does such a thing exist?
