PaperMC/Paper: The most widely used, high performance Minecraft server
Looks nice! I have a comprehensive docker compose file with itzg’s image [0] repeated a dozen times.

Game Server Manager For Windows
I'd like something like this that works with the itzg docker image. I usually have 2-3 servers up and running at any given time for me and my kids to play on. Different modpacks, haven't done anything fancy to manage them except portainer.
-
I made an install script which sets up a Minecraft server for Linux.
I think that a better option would be to use https://github.com/itzg/docker-minecraft-server and then use a networking solution like tailscale or equivalent.

homelab snowball still snowballing
using itzg/docker-minecraft-server to host a curseforge modded server that's running all the mods 8 mod pack, though I might look into pterodactyl for future use!

Easiest way to run a server with a given modpack?
I'm aware of itzg/docker-minecraft-server: Docker image that provides a Minecraft Server that will automatically download selected version at startup (github.com) which makes things pretty easy, but getting any modpack to work still requires quite a bit of fiddling with environment variables (mods to exclude on the server, java version, mc version, enabling command block, etc). Is there something easier, which doesn't require me to search through issues to find working configurations?

So I just finished installing docker on ubuntu server. It's headless and I get access via putty. What now?
I have been able to launch a vanilla server with itzg's Docker Minecraft Server tool, but I haven't been able to get the server to start running a Forge mc version.

How to hibernate server
Are you using a game panel, for example something like AMP (https://cubecoders.com/AMP)? That's a standard feature in AMP and if you're thinking of wanting to host other game servers in the future, it's well worth the one time $10 fee.

How should I begin creating/assembling a dedicated Minecraft server, both hardware and software? (I have advanced user knowledge and can basically do anything with the appropriate internet guide. Also I'm capable of using google.)
I recommend buying AMP by Cube Coders. You can then easily set up any server on your computer. Very cheap. I use it to run several Minecraft servers, Satisfactory, Valheim on the same PC. https://cubecoders.com/AMP

Struggling to Set Up 7 Days to Die Local Server
Are you maybe looking for server managers? If so you got two options AMP(paid) or Pterodactyl(free and quite easy to setup).
If, docker / kubernetes is not your thing, and you want an easy button, then, I recommend checking out AMP: https://cubecoders.com/AMP

New to home server, need suggestions
Hi everyone. I'm planning on setting up a home server mainly for serving a dedicated gaming server using cubecoders amp (LINK) (I'll probably dedicate 4-6 cores, 16gb ram), a homeassistant server (LINK) for home automation(4 cores, 8gb ram'll be enough I think), a plex server for media consumption with my family (don't know how much cpu/ram to allocate), and a backup server(don't know what to use tbh). Also I might install, grafana and a development/build server as well for my personal projects. I might also dedicate a vm for transcoding videos to av1/h265 etc..

A way to hybernate a fabric server if none in inside?
AMP can do this - if there's no players on, the server is put to sleep but AMP emulates enough of the Minecraft protocol to make it look like it's still online and respond to queries. When a player tries to join, they get a (configurable) message asking them to reconnect while the server starts up. - It can do this for a few other games too.

Minecraft Server Management Software - Beginner Friendly
There are game server panels like AMP and Pterodactyl Panel which obfuscate the actual server commands pretty well and offer the features you are talking about, with robust community support that allows them to go beyond just Minecraft. It might be a bit more difficult than a click-to-run desktop app, but I'd argue anyone who can't follow the install guide for either of those tools probably won't be able to run their server securely and would be better off going with a Minecraft server host or Realms.

Installing Pufferpanel (or a similar app) for use with Fedora Linux.
Pufferpanel is pretty jank, I generally recommend AMP. Very easy to install and very intuitive to use.

How can other admins edit my self-hosted server files remotely?
-AMP [linux] [windows]
