A shading language EDSL
Thanks for sharing. Besides what is mentioned in this post. There are many other projects solving similar problems and exploring better ways to integrate/write shaders in rust in different approaches. I list them for extra reference: https://github.com/RayMarch/shame and https://github.com/leops/rasen, https://github.com/mikialex/rendiation.
What are some alternatives?
rustracer - A toy raytracer written in Rust based on PBRT
rasen - Generate SPIR-V bytecode from an operation graph
meshweaver - 3D rendering engine in Rust and WebGPU
shame - A shader EDSL for writing render and compute pipelines in rust
ray-tracer - A physically based monte carlo path tracer written in C++ [Moved to: https://github.com/amanshenoy/pb-path-tracer]
rend3 - Easy to use, customizable, efficient 3D renderer library built on wgpu.
SourceRenderer - A tiny 3D engine that loads and renders Source engine maps - Also known as dreieck.exe
wgpu - Cross-platform, safe, pure-rust graphics api.
rust-doom - A Doom Renderer written in Rust.
rs_pbrt - Rust crate to implement a counterpart to the PBRT book's (3rd edition) C++ code. See also https://www.rs-pbrt.org/about ...
yocto-gl - Yocto/GL: Tiny C++ Libraries for Data-Driven Physically-based Graphics
INOX - Rust Game engine integrated in Blender [WebGPU ready]
