gdsdecomp VS awesome-godot

Tools like https://github.com/bruvzg/gdsdecomp exist, which is good if you need to recover your project.

The main contributor/developer behind Godot also released a very handy little tool that is capable of fully decompiling anything made with Godot:

It seesm exported game written in GDscript (I havnt tested with c#) is easily reversed into original source code state using tools (e.g. Godot RE Tools from https://github.com/bruvzg/gdsdecomp) and any one can take your source code.

With https://github.com/bruvzg/gdsdecomp it might as well be open-source anyway lmao

Sounds like a job for GDRE Tools :)

unforunately godot games are unprotected by default. vast majority of godot games can be decompiled (and recompiled!) by gdsdecomp.

Pyinstaller has a single-executable option though, right ? As for reverse engineering, not sure that a godot game would be that much harder to decompile compared to pyinstaller, see example.

No, i don't really have a general advice for that..all depends on what you want to build. I'd say start simple but as it grows you have to make sure your architecture stays clean, otherwise the whole thing becomes unmanageable. If you want to look at other big open source applications done in Godot look at Pixelorama and MaterialMaker (this one even got an Epic Mega Grant). The Awesome Godot GitHub Repository has some Template content, some Demos, and some Games (some of which point to GitHub repositories with source code).

What kind of content goes in the list? Is it limited to just GDScript/C#/GDNative addons that can be downloaded from the Asset Library in the editor, or also projects that can be downloaded from the Asset Library in the project manager, or also modules that require recompiling the engine? Is this a general-purpose list like https://github.com/godotengine/awesome-godot is?
