Similarly, you should usually start with knowing how to code in the language first, and then find libraries that you might need to add more ✨ pizzaz ✨ sa game. Yes, but the bulk of the effort isn't going into engines or ports. And it's certainly not going into proprietary equivalents of libraries like SDL2 or Dear ImGui.

If you really don't want to work with HTML & CSS, you'll probably need to extend Node.js with native C++ modules to architect your engine.

Take a look at SFML. Very easy to get started, and quite capable.

As for windows, you'd probably be alright looking into SFML, you can see their Getting Started tutorial for how to install it in your IDE of choice.
