[SP4] Touchscreen driver issues ?
I tried calibrating iptsd driver with the help of this tutorial but it only made things worse, so I reverted the settings back. I also tried some settings listed in the GitHub issue linked above without better results so I just reverted everything back to the latest version of the iptsd.conf file available on GitHub.

Possible touchscreen regression - Anyone else experiencing?
Could you please try installing the newest build of iptsd? You can download it from https://github.com/linux-surface/iptsd/actions/runs/4838146385

SB2 - Touch Screen does not rotate with the screen since the newest update
I am using Fedora 37 with Wayland on a Surfacebook 2. I searched github and the internet and all I found was this issue: https://github.com/linux-surface/iptsd/issues/69 However, the suggested solution is to switch from Xorg to Wayland, but I already used Wayland all the time. Does anyone else have the same issue? How can I solve it, or is it a problem with the driver's newest version?

SP4 - Touch issues
I'm literally done trying to fix the touch issues on my SP4, installed Fedora workstation with linux kernel and updated all the windows firmware drivers and still the touchscreen sucks. I keep getting sh1t loads of ghost touches its pretty much unusable. Tried different versions of everything fedora, gnome, iptsd, libwacom, reset sensor bs and heck i have another SP4 laying around that i was gonna flip and had the exact same issue. I hate how its literally said in the github that the touch is supported on SP4 but its not.. and i'm not the only one cuz a lot of people with SP4 are having the same issue and the devs keep ignoring the issues. Either fix your crap or add in the page that the SP4 touch is ass and stop wasting people time. Here some other people with same issue: https://github.com/linux-surface/iptsd/issues/58 https://github.com/linux-surface/iptsd/issues/40 https://github.com/linux-surface/iptsd/issues/26

Thinkpad X1 Fold gen1 - Linux - Update 2023
Touch on the fold is one of the reasons why I would want one. The issue on that is the Intel Precise Touch support on Linux. The work on that is detailed here: https://github.com/linux-surface/intel-precise-touch/issues/8

The foldable eagle has landed...
For the touchscreen you need the intel IPTS touch drivers made for the Surface devices, for the display just one kernel option and then you're mostly good

SP7 Multitouch and pen input issue
Hi there. Yeah, I have the same problem trying to update to the current branches, but I don't have the time to really dig in and figure out what's up. For now I've just reverted to the last versions that worked for me: I'm using the (deprecated) Quo branch, and this commit for intel-precise-touch.

In that case, it's new hardware and still unsupported :-( You might want to keep an eye on the GitHub issue tracking this; https://github.com/linux-surface/intel-precise-touch/issues/8

Surface Book 1 vs Surface Pro 7
Multi-touch and the pen still do not work on the SP7, and other Gen7 devices, but there is work being done on it. Touchscreen still works with single-touch.

Surface Pen on Ubuntu Help (SB3)
The awesome linux-surface team is working hard on it (you can follow their progress here if you're technically inclined), but its no small feat, so its hard to say when it will be supported and to what degree.

Updates on full functionality for SP7?
Well, I'm not a developer, but I am trying to keep somewhat up-to-date with the status of these things. From what I can tell, it looks like the camera should be working soon. At least there's been a lot of progress for everything earlier than the 7th gen devices, but I'm hoping the fix will work for the 7 too. See here. The pen looks to be stuck for the moment. It seems Microsoft/Intel changed things up in a hard-to-decipher way, so it's gonna be slow going unless someone from Intel gives them a hand. See here and here.
