Power control in bios
You can also mess about with Power Control Panel V2, but not sure if that does actually change the TDP accurately. u/baldsealion have you used or heard much about PCPV2? https://github.com/project-sbc/Power-Control-Panel-v2 Not mentioned in the wiki but seems to be a useful tool. I was using it for TDP control stuff before Steam Deck Tools. Very user friendly

Ayaneo 2 without AyaSpace, my setup for Steam Big Picture mode with HandheldCompanion
Power Control Panel v2 (https://github.com/project-sbc/Power-Control-Panel-v2) Has more fine-grained power control than HandheldCompanion, e.g. can deactivate CPU cores Does not provide any other functionality than power control, so need more tools

How to set up Ayaneo 2 for usage with Steam Big Picture Mode / Gamepad UI?
Just searched for it. It's this, right: Power Control Panel v2

Auto TDP (ciphray’s new tool)
ProjectSBC's Control Panel v2: Not yet automatic, supports manual TDP modification. Unfortunately this code seems pretty thrown together and wouldn't be my go-to depending on how it evolves.
- Which tool for setting TDP would you recommend for the GPD Win Max 1 (Intel Version from 2021)
- Trackpad function mimicking and strategy games

[Laptop] ASUS VivoBook S 14X, 1800p 120Hz OLED, Ryzen 7 6800H CPU, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD ($1400 - $400 = $1000) [Amazon]
You can use https://github.com/project-sbc/Power-Control-Panel-v2 to limit TDP if you're planning on using Windows over HoloISO/SteamOS.

This thing is an emulation beast!!!! Highly recommend Launchbox !!!👍
I second Retrobat (https://www.retrobat.org/). It's basically Batocera for Windows. I have launchbox / bigbox as well and while it has a little more customization, Retrobat is way easier to setup and free. I paid the 5 fee for the full automatic version and it was worth every penny so far.
- Emulation fans and Emudeck users! Please consider using RETROBAT for your emulation needs on the Ally

Anyone else think it would be cool to have a type of kodi all-in-one launcher that can install and play games from anywhere?
take a look at www.retrobat.org (if you're into retrogaming). I use it in conjunction with steam big picture mode on my couch machine.
-

Retro Console Ideas
Neogeo is epic...so much history, great games and hidden gems. Have you looked at emulation first to try out the systems or to maybe have them all, as not a cheap hobby. Here's what I've starting using for retro gaming recently - https://www.retrobat.org/ can find roms online easily to try out everything including all the more unknown consoles.
