[LOOTFILTER] DAHAKA's Filter -League starter leveling presets-Modularization Installing
DAHAKA’s Filter is a custom filter for Path of Exile, based on Neversink’s Filter. It helps to show rare or higher items, with different colors, sounds, icons, and beams. It hides useless or cluttering items. It is easy to customize and update on Filterblade.

Oh boy, thinking of starting this game and I know it is quite complicated.
A good filter is probably the thing you need the most in this game. 99.9% of players and their mothers use https://www.filterblade.xyz/. A filter changes how the items appear when they drop on the floor. Filterblade is linked to the trade site and it makes the most expensive items shine the most and even completely hides items that are worth nothing. You can choose how strict you want your filter to be. Early in the league running a semi-strict might be enough since almost everything is worth something, later it's better to go for something very-strict.
-
Filters, which and why.
The neversink filter which you can add at the poe homepage is good to get going. I used it for years. Since some years i build my own filters at https://www.filterblade.xyz/ I adapt the filter for my build: - hiding a lot of rares (armor bases, weapons, bad jewellery bases) - highlighting bases or socket/links/color combinations And adapt the filter later on depending on my progress: - like hiding currency fragments (alch, horizon) - hiding all rares

New Player help with build (Toxic Rain Pathfinder)/general progressing advice
Try to get to T16 as soon as possible, check some farming guides and pick one that feels nice, get a lootfilter from https://www.filterblade.xyz/. The filter will tell you what's good based on colors. Unique item values you just have to learn pretty much. Awakened PoE helps with checking prices. Farming strat decides your atlas passives.

Just some questions, new player
1- create a loot filter : https://www.filterblade.xyz/ : NeverSink SC > Semi-Strict will be good start. Change it later to strict > very strict (at very strict at t15-t16). If you are low on some currency like link socket, color socket, costumize your filter from web site.

This game desperately needs some kind of, at least, basic loot filter
That's very rudimentary, though, this is what a real filter looks like: https://www.filterblade.xyz/
-
New to the game and had questions
Go to https://www.filterblade.xyz/ and add a loot filter. The game drops thousands of useless items as you level and play at the end game. You need a loot filter to get rid of bad items.
- These are confusing times
-
Should I be following character guides if it’s my first time playing?
Get a loot filter https://www.filterblade.xyz/ I recommend going at least strict because you need to fight the urge to loot everything.

When you auto-sorted your currency on filter blade
This, along with other issues with his pricing algorithm are really crippling the tool I built to generate loot filters with the settings I wanted, and also incorporating poe.ninja pricing.

Update on Fla_Panther's Super Simple Loot Filter
If you don't want to install Python to run the program you can still help me test the filters. I've generated a number of them with the tool and uploaded them to the main directory for the tool: https://github.com/flapanther33781/poe-filter. The legend for understanding the file names is in the FAQ/Readme, just scroll to the bottom of the main Github page. I also put two there that use Standard pricing.

Is there a way to programmatically get the current league number (for example, this one being 3.15)?
I built a tool to auto-generate loot filters, and initially hard set the file names to start with 3.15-. I'd rather have that than the full name of the league (for a few reasons). The number's going to change over time, so I'd like to make it a variable that can update itself so I don't have to manually change it each league.

Fla_Panther's Super Simple Loot Filter - an alternative data-driven loot filter
Hey everyone. I'd shared this over in the PoE Devs forum looking for help testing but saw /u/impending_dave's post from yesterday so I thought I'd throw down over here as well. You can see pics, video, and more info over at the Discord page. but a quick summary...

wraeblast: a new data-driven loot filter for juicers 🥤 (with global TTS and dynamic colors)
I haven't done stack sizes yet, but I've built something similar (minus the voice): Fla_Panther's Super Simple Loot Filter.

For the past few leagues, and especially this league, I have been discouraged. This weekend I tried Standard.
I think the only reason I'm even playing now is because I wrote a tool to download pricing from poe.ninja and generate loot filters off that data. It's not meant to replace FilterBlade or some other filters, but has certain goals in mind that FB and other filter builders have told me they either aren't interested in doing or cannot do easily ... but (a) I have programming experience and didn't see why it couldn't be done, and (b) I'm using it as an excuse to learn Python, and adding another language to my skillset could result in a better-paying job in real life - so I at least have some possible financial benefit out of this, and don't feel like I'm completely wasting my life learning the ins and outs of some arcane system with no payoff other than what my father would call "mental masturbation".
