CLIFp is a tool that allows you to run Flashpoint through the command line. The great thing about CLIFp is that it bypasses Flashpoint's GUI launcher. As you'll see, everything besides the launcher runs well under proton/wine.

Regarding the error, you are correct, we have not implemented a log dialog. We plan to improve that in the future but its not a small work:

It supports many file formats, from digital content to scientific datasets (including glTF, STL, STEP, PLY, OBJ, FBX, Alembic), can show animations and support thumbnails and many rendering and texturing options including real time physically based rendering and raytracing.
New main features are better realtime animation and animatin scripting, HDRI drop, HDRI performance improvements and better camera placements.
