Jack Dorsey is currently selling his first ever Tweet as a NFT on Ethereum for $88,888 atm
Here you go: decentralized versions of Twitter, Another Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp.
Not really decentralized though. I think the matrix protocol and apps built for it like element is better then.

Interslavic Study Group
Greetings community. I thought I would mention again that we have an Interslavic chat group hosted on matrix.org, which is accessible from the Element app (see element.io). Interslavic groups tend to be very small and inactive, but so far we've gathered a group of around ten interested people. We are not native Slavic speakers but are interested in learning, so we'd appreciate anyone who wants to work on learning Interslavic to join and help us. This is a direct link to the room. It is the official room of this subreddit community, though it is not well known.

Element Matrix Services Announces Element Home
Looking on Element Web/Desktop's issue tracker: https://github.com/vector-im/element-web/issues?q=is%3Aissue... there are no open issues concerning segfaults currently. If you file a bug report with the details requested in the template then we'll be able to investigate and fix it, just as we did for https://github.com/vector-im/element-web/issues/13553 (for instance). Otherwise, expecting us to be aware of this and to fix it without a bug report is not going to happen.
In terms of "slow rooms" - we'd need more details to advise. A bug report on github.com/matrix-org/synapse/issues would give us something to go on.
In terms of stuck messages on Element Android - this sounds like a bug which was fixed months ago. Please upgrade.
In terms of getting a notification every time the app syncs - I have no idea what would cause that, nor have I heard of it. Please file a bug at https://github.com/vector-im/element-android/issues.
Thank you, that saves me time searching for dups. You'll have to forgive me, in 30 years I have only ever seen one bug fixed in response to a report I filed online.
But hope springs eternal: <https://github.com/vector-im/element-web/issues/16599>.
The stuck messages are still there, in a newly upgraded Android Element 1.1.0, same as in the last two upgrades to 1.0.14 marked (2021-01-30) and 1.0.17 (2021-02-14). Other people report the same: <https://github.com/vector-im/element-android/issues/2494>
Android Element 1.1.0 seems to spam the notifications log less than previous versions. I see it at 22:16, 22:17, 22:18, 22:20, 22:35, so maybe backing off now.
I can imagine that the slowness (endless spinner when scrolling back in a room transcript) might be a consequence of delays in my homeserver -- privacytools.io -- but the app offers no hint as to where the stall is. Does my homeserver have anything to do with slowness of rooms ? I also don't see any way to check the version of Synapse running on the homeserver. Should I be able to find that?

The Only Discord Bot Youll Ever Need
The most "discord like" and most well known one atm is the Matrix protocol. I won't bore you to death with how it works, all you need to know is, if you wanna use Matrix, you need a Matrix client. The most popular and complete one is Element. Though whenever the topic of discord alternatives comes up, I always gotta bring up IRC, because it's been around since the 80s, can be ran in a toaster, will never turn corporate, and will ALWAYS be here with us until the end of time! And lastly, another cool one is Tox. This is the one you use if you REALLY want peak privacy. It's peer to peer (so there's no central server where the messages have to pass through) and it's end to end encrypted. It supports text, files, and even voice chat! However, it is a little bit rough around the edges, so it may not be easy to convince your friends to move to Tox.

Free yourself from data fraudulent corporations and governments
Whatsapp: Use Signal, if you're a simple user that wants some privacy, encryption and security, but does not want to work theirself deeply into the specifics of how stuff works. Another option - a bit more secure and still pretty simple - is Element. It is set up as easy as Signal, but it has no phone number included, you just add a username. You can decide to add numbers or mails, but don't have to. Exchange your usernames with your friends in person, so it will be hard to track who is who. Further infos: https://www.signal.org/ , https://element.io/
