For WMR there's the OpenHMD project which gives only seated play, no motion tracking.
For Quest there's ALVR, which is like an open source version of airlink. I've seen reports of it being somewhat buggy but still usable. I don't have a Quest headset, so haven't tried it myself.
The body trackers might be a problem. According to https://github.com/SlimeVR/SlimeVR-OpenVR-Driver/issues/2 SlimeVR currently doesn't support Linux but that should change in the future (and it being open source and all, if you're capable of it you of course also have the option to put in the effort yourself to make it happen).
SteamVR(SVR) for me currently crashes unless I turn off vulkan async (Link), some reason that causes issues on xwayland, one downside to this is that you need to have a good setup to not get yourself sick. SVR dash's volume control doesn't work, so I use kde connect if I have to mess with volume. SVR always crashes after displaying a couple of frames and so I have to unplug the HMD and reboot the software, funny thing is that I have a Windows friend with the same HMD and its the same for him.
