You do not have many options for hmds if you want to play VR on linux. Alternatively you could check Support list of OpenHMD, but I don't know if or how good this works.
You might also have some luck with waiting a bit longer, until this linux ALVR driver is out of experimental state: https://github.com/alvr-org/ALVR/wiki/Linux-Support-development-progress
