AreWeAntiCheatYet
A comprehensive and crowd-sourced list of games using anti-cheats and their compatibility with GNU/Linux or Wine.
Extremely good. Just take a look at https://protondb.com for general compatibility ratings. Performance is also often very close, sometimes even better on Linux (which is wild). The only thing you should pay attention to is anti-cheat systems used in some multiplayer titles. For their compatibility, check out https://areweanticheatyet.com/ (especially if you intend to play some commercial multiplayer titles). However I don't recommend running any of this, because this kind of invasive anti-cheat software can behave just like malware. It's better if you run it on Linux than on Windows though (if it runs on Linux at all), because it runs with higher privileges on Windows, and you don't want that crap running in the background with tons of rights. Anti-cheat is the biggest compatibility question. If there is no anti-cheat or the anti-cheat is compatible, then it's like 95% likely that the Windows game will also run on Linux.

Gaming-oriented you have the Heroic Launcher that is an Epic Games and GoG client and the Lutris launcher that helps you run windows games from different sources with ease because it hosts a Wiki on what tweaks to do to wine and/or proton, and even some scripts to do that automatically.
