  • lutris

    Lutris desktop client

  • For a lot of other non steam games, as well as GOG games, there is tools such as Lutris and Bottles. Now I’ve never used bottles either but have also read some very good things about it. On the other hand I have used Lutris extensively in the past and it is a fantastic piece of software. It uses user made scripts to install tonnes of stuff, such as battlenet to play World of Warcraft for example.

  • HeroicGamesLauncher

A games launcher for GOG, Amazon and Epic Games for Linux, Windows and macOS.

  • As for games you own from those stores there are a number of easy ways to get them installed and running. For epic store games there is the Heroic launcher, I’ve never used it but have read very good things about it. Heroic launcher also supports games from GOG.

  • AreWeAntiCheatYet

A comprehensive and crowd-sourced list of games using anti-cheats and their compatibility with GNU/Linux or Wine.

  • AreWeAntiCheatYet Anti cheat on Linux through proton for online competitive games is officially supported by EAC and Battleye (the 2 main anti cheat systems out there). However enabling support is down to individual devs and it’s still quite up in the air ATM.

NOTE: The number of mentions on this list indicates mentions on common posts plus user suggested alternatives. Hence, a higher number means a more popular project.
