xmrig-proxy VS monero-pool

You'd want to run an OS+XMRig from removable storage + ram then point them to a xmrig-proxy.

Anyway you might want to use xmrig-proxy instead of writing your own proxy.

You could type workers in your P2Pool if you used CLI. For API you'd probably want to use xmrig proxy.

My point about p2pool as a proxy was that with monero mining what's usually talked about when people say "proxy" is xmrig-proxy.

I guess I would like more context, if you have multiple rigs and are hoping to connect them you could use something like xmrig-proxy to connect your rigs together. But if you are hoping to create your own pool for the public which isn't was is stated I believe you could just fork p2pool and go from there.

hey, sorry I missed this-- there are a couple of approaches that would work, each with it's own pros and cons depending on how comfortable you are with the command line. Check out xmrig-proxy if you haven't. Cheers.

Wow. First I create p2pool where everyone mines on their own block templates. Then there's a pool that creates block templates for them. Now they ask how to mine on their own block template. LOL. Now a quiz: read https://github.com/jtgrassie/monero-pool/blob/master/sss.md and find why exactly self select is incompatible with p2pool. Also, it's an outdated half-measure that only mattered before p2pool.

I built a Monero mining pool (monero-pool) and operate a fairly large private pool which uses it. So I'd like to think I do know a little about the subject.

Our pool is using https://github.com/jtgrassie/monero-pool , do you have any experience with it. I don't wanna mess our pool.

So we have made a monero pool with https://github.com/jtgrassie/monero-pool and we intend on making it public for anyone to mine on. But are there any settings in the pool.config or any other monero files that we should change to make it more secure/better?
