I haven't had a chance to try it yet, but you might want to give the new World Maker tool a try. It's free and, according to the description, features both a wiki and map system.

My thought on different engines
Godot Engine is a free and open-source game engine. The story started as an in-house engine of an Argentinian studio in 2007, and since 2014, it's been a community-driven project with a lot of contributors.
