    Although this is not directly for profiing, but still a shameless plug for uVkCompute (https://github.com/google/uVkCompute) just in case it can be useful for you. :D It is a tool to make writing compute shader benchmarks much easier. Basically it tries to abstract away all boilerplate code that you'd need to write on API side (to ~200 LOC, e.g. this one). It also wires up all shader compilation stuff with CMake rules. So one can focus on throw out GLSL kernels and benchmarking them. :)
