The client code is open sourced at https://github.com/virevolai/logos-shift-client/ which includes the instrumentation, router for switching, and exactly how this works.
It's only 530 lines of code. No complex libraries.
If you do not want to use the Cloud solution, you can always just use Logos Shift for saving to local host and finetune yourself.

Inverted pendulum realtime metrics
I think that's probably the way to go. There are a couple of launch files like that, I guess that use tracetools_launch (see here in one of the pendulum_bringup launch files) to actually record some timing statistics.
