Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

I’ve been making some changes to the JavaScript demos in a repo called GPU-IO, link here: https://github.com/amandaghassaei/gpu-io

This may be somewhat tangential to the convo, but someone shared this with me today.. some neat stuff here: https://apps.amandaghassaei.com/gpu-io/examples/

The Book of Shaders
I took a deeper dive this past weekend, and what a treat! They've embedded examples that you can interact with using a tool they've created called glslCanvas which helps make it a bit more hands on. I have always appreciated that about devs who share their work using tools like Codepen or Codesandbox because it helps make sense of what can otherwise feel extremely overwhelming.
What are some alternatives?
chatGL - GLSL shader generator using GPT-3 🤖🎨
glslViewer - Console-based GLSL Sandbox for 2D/3D shaders
loveblobs - softbody library for the love2d game framework
matrix-engine - webGL2 implementation (opengles2/3). ClassObject scene draw orientend framework based on crazzy fast glmatrix engine. ECMA 6 JS Project in base. Obj loader, raycast, BVH animation etc.
WebGL-Fluid-Simulation - Play with fluids in your browser (works even on mobile)
react-native-gcanvas - react native canvas based on gpu opengl glsl GCanvas -- A lightweight cross-platform graphics rendering engine. (超轻量的跨平台图形引擎)
fxGlue - 💥 WebGL-based image effects library. (TypeScript)
shadertoy-react - 6kB "Shadertoy" like react component letting you easily render your fragment shaders in your React web projects, without having to worry about implementing the WebGL part.
