  • Changing your character name in single player
    1 project | /r/diablo2 | 14 May 2022
For all the people that wants to change the name of their character in Diablo 2 Resurrected, but can't do it because they do not own (anymore) the Diablo 2 original game, here is how to do it: You have to use a program (editor) from github that you can find here Diablo 2 R Editor . Open the program, open the character file and rename your character and save it, then close the program. After this you have to go to your folder on your hard disk where all your diablo 2 characters are saved, look for the character that you wanna change the name of, there are between 3-10 files of the character, change all files to the new name you wanna have (don’t delete the extension of the files though). After the second step the attribute menu of your character will also overtake the new character name. Your new character name will appear everywhere now.
