UnderworldExporter VS daggerfall-unity

It looks like the fan-made Unity port ( https://github.com/hankmorgan/UnderworldExporter/ ) used to support exporting to FBX format, but all the code in fbxExport.cpp has been commented out. And, although I have a decent amount of coding experience, I've never worked with a game engine before, and all the Unity stuff is going over my head. I simply don't know enough about what I'm doing here to modify anything.

There’s a source port for the game you can get here if that helps. But yeah that’s fair enough.

I've never used Portable, but I've had good luck with Underworld Exporter. It's a unity port primarily for underworld 1, but underworld 2 is being worked on again as of this year.

My last comment, as this thread has reminded me to do an update of quite a few games, mods and add-ons over the last day, is that there's a good-looking Unity Game Engine for Ultima Underworld 1 & 2, which I'm going to have a look at. You can get it from Daggerfall Unity's official website, dfworkshop.net. There should be a link to the download page at the top.

If you're trying to install DFU, go to their latest release, download the mac version, and do not use the GOG cut, it is apparently incredibly bugged, messes with a lot of mods, and using either the bethesda website's download or the steam version for the original game files (both are free) skirts around some bug that comes with the GOG cut. I don't know what the GOG cut even is, but I've seen almost every mod on the Nexus say it's bugged and to not use it, so idk. If you don't care about mods, you will. Daggerfall is a Bethesda game, so you're bound to mod it to hell and back.
