Big update to my free Gameboy VST, Soraboy! (+ FL Project file)
If you are wanting a VST that can run roms, checkout RetroPlug! (I am yet to try it, but I've heard it's good)

Looking for Retroplug MacOS beta
Per title, i'm wondering if anyone here has the beta of Retroplug for Mac.

Newly downloaded plugin not showing in Reaper
Hi, me again! I recently learned about Little Sound Dj, and I'm excited to mess around with it. I downloaded the VST from here and added it to my VST folder. When I opened Reaper, I could not find the VST. I re-scanned my plugin folder and it still wasn't showing up.

LSDJ - Modded gameboy or Ambernik?
If you've got a gamepad, (or don't mind using the keyboard in an emulator) try this https://github.com/tommitytom/RetroPlug

"FL_Studio isn't good at emulating Gameboy hardware"
This is done by using the emulator sameboy, being wrapped into a VST, then integrated into FL. The wrapper is called retroplug, and was created by tommitytom on GitHub. https://github.com/tommitytom/RetroPlug. The plugin is meant to be used for LSDJ (a tracker that runs on Gameboy hardware) to be able to run in traditional DAW's. However, it's still a fully functioning emulator, meaning any .gb can be run on it, including Pokemon.
-
How to get into this in 2021?
Lastly, if you want to play in an emulator, I highly recommend RetroPlug. It is tailor-made for LSDJ and has a TON of awesome extra LSDJ-specific features.

Whats your favorite VST for making NES style 8bit music?
Retroplug (https://github.com/tommitytom/RetroPlug) is pretty rad. Dowload the mGB ROM (https://github.com/trash80/mGB) and you’ve got anear perfect gameboy sound!

Hi Huge Question! I'm looking to make my music live! I need Help!
One solution you might look into is the VST RetroPlug. It's a GB emulator in a VST, so you could load it into the DAW, boot up mGB on it, and then you can control that with a MIDI controller.

UVI "8-Bit Synth" collection of sounds created with Commodore 64, Game Boy, SID Station, Mod Machine and more for UVI Workstation/Falcon - Intro Price ($59) through 8 February
If you just want to do simple stuff, there are 2 good free options: YMCK Magical 8bit Plug, or if you want more authentic, RetroPlug (a VST gameboy emulator) with mGB as a ROM. If you just want to play basic notes/arpeggios controlled from your DAW these will do the job just fine.
- im a newbie and need help, yeah pretty generic aint it?

hey guys since we're starving for Content I made this hope you enjoy
Other free tools I have tried in the past include Kdenlive and Shotcut. Tried Lightworks way back, too, but their free version is now not much better than Filmora. Got one eye on Olive, too, but it's very much still in beta.
-
How is possible that my version is bigger than the one in the official web?
To add to what u/Mk-Daniel said, the latest version will always be the one that you get from the website, if you want to see the builds to compare that number you can check out this page

where is the shake effect?

Olive crashes when I add an empty clip
I think it is best for you to create a bug report on GitHub. This is a technical issue. olive-editor/olive

Is there anything that proprietary software can do and has no open alternative?
Also, keep an eye on https://olivevideoeditor.org/ for video editing. It is still in Beta, but looks very promising.

Help (filmora is shitty)
My video editor of choice is Kdenlive. It's modeled after Adobe Premiere (more or less), and has a bit of a learning curve. Olive is another promising option, but similarly tricky to master. Openshot is a pretty easy editor that works similarly. All of them are free and open source. Davinci Resolve is a professional-grade editor, and free, but not open source.

XFCE 4.18 Released
> Custom Actions
> It is now possible to arrange custom actions in cascading submenus. Just enter the same submenu name for a custom action in order to place it into the same menu. If you require multiple menu levels, you can achieve that by using '/' in the path of the 'Submenu' entry.*
In 2012 KDE AppMenu Runner was presented as a "plugin which allows to browse, search and select the menubar of the active application".[0]
In 2019 I requested to somehow implement a feature, similar to Blender's "Menu Search"/"Operator Search"[1], into Olive Video Editor.[2]
After it "Action Search" was implemented into Olive Video Editor ('/') shortcut, its code was reused for "Action Search" in Scribus ('Ctrl+/') and then converted into Qt5-plugin.[3,4]
Year later, this Qt5-plugin code reused in for implementing global "Action Search" in helloSystem FreeBSD distribution.[5]
Then "Search and Run a Command" ('/') was added into GIMP.[6]
Guess, GIMP's implementation may be used for other GTK-based apps too (especially Inkscape, which still has no such feature).
