The number of mentions indicates the total number of mentions that we've tracked plus the number of user suggested alternatives.
Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

ACES workflow pipeline between After Effects and Da Vince Resolve...
Check out OpenColorIO, they have an after effects plugin for ACES color management, I've found it to be useful for doing round trips from AE back to the NLE.

Trouble with shadows, highlights and wall texture
ACES is a color management system, you get more fidelity on the colors, specially in highlights and shadows. And 16 bits images is to have more room to composite, your highlights and shadows will have more information to it.

Check out OpenColorIO.

is there any way to save the render output with aces in vray without the use of fusion of after effect

RedShift render using Render View?
Just a quick follow up to say that this was the correct suggestion and was easy to set up. Thanks again. In case anyone ever sees this post, check out SideFX's page on OCIO and grab the relevant configs from here.

I'm an indie dev and I've built a vector graphics tool where your paths/shapes can have shared edges — Now on Kickstarter!
There are two industry standard systems for colour management, ICC profiles and OCIO. Both are good and have their own strengths and weaknesses, OCIO isn't really applicable in the print world for example. Seeing as your application is focused towards both designers and animators you'd do well to have some sort of implementation of both of these. Affinity does this part really well, look to them for inspiration. This bit should essentially be a requirement for all graphics software but with the rise of web-based software like Figma we've seen some developers completely ignore it and continue to push unmanaged nonsense. Don't be like those guys! Because you followed step 1 here you'll need to give your users ways to manage their input and output transforms.

Do you agree with annual versions or a one time purchase where the program would be supported with updates (Like Premiere Pro)
For OpenColor (32-bit full/ACES) it has a bunch of transforms to convert log formats, etc to a standard which can then be output as SDR or HDR. It's kind of a rosetta stone. Click on media and try "color space" to help Vegas figure out how to characterize the footage. For some formats it works extremely well. For others (say Sony S-log 3) I was less then impressed and just stick to regular correction LUTs like Leeming LUT. It's a solid base to build from.

Any good kickstarters for open source stuff I should check out?
What's really cool is that VGC Illustration is fully free as in freedom (as in free speech, not price) software, and the creator is trying out the Ardour style funding model where you pay to obtain the compiled binaries, while the code is fully open source available in this GitHub repository. I like this funding model and encourage others to support it.

I'm coding a new vector app (like Adobe Illustrator) with cool features, and you guys loved it! I'm now asking for your help on Kickstarter to be able to turn the prototype into a full-pledged app that will make your life easier. Check it out for more info or download the free prototype. Thanks!
Oh, this is a super interesting feature request, thanks, I never thought of that! I added the request to GitHub to not forget: https://github.com/vgc/vgc/issues/565

Yes, it is open source, under the Apache 2.0 License. The source code for the prototype VPaint is here: https://github.com/dalboris/vpaint and the source code for VGC Illustration is here: https://github.com/vgc/vgc

I'm an indie dev and I've built a vector graphics tool where your paths/shapes can have shared edges. Any thought?
The prototype is using Qt's QColor, which I believe is underlying a 16-bit integer per channel. The new re-implementation VGC Illustration is actually using 64-bit float per channel, I'm not kidding: https://github.com/vgc/vgc/blob/master/libs/vgc/core/color.h . It's probably a little overkill, so I may tone it down to 32-bit float per channel if I notice performance issues, but yes, basically I'll have your needs covered :-P
What are some alternatives?
