Mod3-MHW-Importer VS blender_niftools_addon

Open this version of Blender and install this addon.

This seems to be the most up to date import/export blender plugin https://github.com/AsteriskAmpersand/Mod3-MHW-Importer but it only works with Blender 2.8 and not 3.0

I used this plugin to import to blender (also export from blender) https://github.com/niftools/blender_niftools_addon

I wish you the best of luck with your ideas, the character meshes are an absolute pain to work with because they're in .nif files, which are a proprietary format. I still haven't quite figured out how to wrangle them myself. But definitely grab Nifskope which can view models. There's also a plugin for Blender that loads in NIF files but it doesn't work with NIF files from Special Edition. So you gotta downgrade them with SSE NIF Optimizer if you want to import them into Blender. I hope this saves you the hours of research I had to do to figure all that out!

Basically, I'm trying to use this niftool plugin to make myself a cool Fallout: New Vegas hat. But uhh... it's not working. Error messages below, I cannot parse this and it's clearly an issue with the code of the plugin itself.

however when I tried to import it into Blender 3.4.1 with the Blender Niftools Addon v0.0.14 I get the error log in this image, stating "String Too Long" The few old forums citing this exact issue either offer no solution, or just involve using Blender Niftools Addon v0.0.14 which I already have.

I'm using the blender niftools addon, and when I try to export it says "Some polygons of helmetK not assigned to any body part.The unassigned polygons have been selected in the mesh so they can be easily identified."

Blender is a good choice.Fairly easy to start. You'll need an addon for .NIF importing/exporting,here's the link:https://github.com/niftools/blender_niftools_addon it also supports Oblivion and Skyrim.
