I've been using the open source Beeftext very successfully. Works across windows, so not cross platform like espanso, but a little bit more user friendly. Able to drop in entire templates with formatting. https://beeftext.org/

Installing/Getting to work on Android, help.
It's been awhile, but I had to open the config INI file that stores the file locations and populate it so it knew where to look for the rct2 files in order to get it to work.
