Many of the recommendations here are about monetary theory, but it sounds like you want to know about the technical implementation. For that, I recommend Mastering Bitcoin by Andreas Antonopoulos. You can read it online here (scroll down for chapter list) or buy a physical copy.

  • Coins lost after sending with Bitcoin Core 0.19.1
    reddit.com/r/Bitcoin | 2021-01-10
Bitcoin Core generates addresses randomly. If you create a backup of your wallet and import it in other computer, the new addresses generated by each instance will be different. The Bitcoin Core instance from where you sent de bitcoins has generated new adresses which aren't in your other wallets. As someone suggested in previous comments, you need to backup again and restore the wallet in the other computers. Maybe you should use a wallet with support for a seed, which will generate always the same adresses in any computer (hierarchical deterministic wallets). It is the easier way to manage your funds. https://github.com/bitcoinbook/bitcoinbook/blob/develop/ch05.asciidoc
