  • Over the past few months the Lightning Network has quietly surged to all-time highs. 45,000+ public channels $70M+ of liquidity in those channels Anecdotally, seeing increased payment volume routed through my own nodes.

If you have some Bitcoin, go to https://github.com/rootzoll/raspiblitz - buy the hardware, download the software and spin up your own Bitcoin/Lightning node.

  • Buying Bitcoin is like buying New York Avenue, Tennessee Avenue, and St. James Place. You want to do it as early as you can. Operating a LN routing service is like building the houses and hotels. I think capital leveraged opportunities are only just getting started with routing.
RaspiBlitz - Intermediate. Based on the above but more pre-packaged.
  • Just want to know if I have lost my funds, or if I should more than likely still be able to recover them.
About two weeks ago my internet service provider shut down for purposes of updating the service, of which I had not gotten or missed the notification, that this was going to happen. When internet service was finally restored, I could no longer SSH into my raspiblitz, and attaching a screen only show a blank white screen. After some googling this post on github with what seems to be the exact same issue. After trying to rewrite/replace the SD card to no avail, the issue now seems to either be with the rasberry pi itself, or the hard drive, of which I eventually hope to figure out and fix.

Anyone have experience with this new 64-bit version of Raspiblitz? I've used the 32-Bit version before but since this is a different creator/author I'm hesitant to put anything on this atm: rootzoll/raspiblitz

For the node itself, what's your level of technical expertise / interest? If you know or are comfortable with learning how to administer a simple Linux system, I strongly recommend the RaspiBolt guide. One caveat, use a 64-bit Linux distribution like dietpi instead of the 32-bit Raspbian, will save you trouble. If you prefer something a little more pre-packaged / user friendly, you might try RaspiBlitz. There are higher-level options too, but I have no experience with those.
