If you wish to shard your seed then maybe look at the app-sskr-check Ledger app on github. It's a way to shard your seed and store shards whatever way you choose. e.g. a 2-of-3 Shamir's Secret Sharing backup of you seed stored on steel in 3 separate physical locations is safer than a single BIP39 backup in a single location. With this app the seed never leaves the device, a user must first prove they know their 12, 18 or 24 word BIP39 phrase by typing it into the device, only then does the app converrt the BIP39 phrase into Shamir's Secret Shares. App works on Nano, Nano S, Nano X and soon Stax. Similar to funtionality already offered by Trezor.
