    I use software called Synergy (I've been using it for about 10 years now), it allows me to share my mouse and keyboard with multiple computers. Currently I share my main computers mouse and keyboard with my linux box and my laptop. It's cross platform and works on mac, linux, windows & raspberry pi.

    Another option is Synergy. It's software that allows you to use your mouse and keyboard over the network on another machine. Don't think it works for all peripherals though, been a while since I used it.
