Eh, after the initial learning curve, I've not had any trouble playing FPSs with mine. I'm nowhere near "CS:GO pro"-level, but the only time I've ever felt like the trackball was a limiting factor was when I tried playing osu!... (Though I am mouse-acceleration-using heretic.)

  • 1150+ HOURS: my story, progression, advices, videos [BIG RANT]
At the end of 2014 I installed OSU again (played it in 2010 I think) and started to grind it everyday for around 2-3 hours (at the weekends I could play for 6h easily). So in parallel with csgo I was trying to improve via OSU. It was original reason I started playing it but after 2016 I almost stopped playing anything besides OSU, and the reason why OSU was so addicting to me is visible progression. You are always improving and beat your old scores. I played for straight 3 years and got around 2k hours (I think http://osu.ppy.sh/ is a liar and I played fcking 5000 hours). It didn’t help my aim as well (ofc I was playing with mouse), I got to top ~5k worldwide and top ~100 of my country. What was holding me back – left hand, I suck at streams and high bpm. But the difficulties taught me one important thing - progress is slow. To increase my streaming ability from 150 bpm to 200 I spent not less than 2 years, filled with months of everyday killing my hand with deathstreams to pain (nothing dangerous, just casual muscle pain), I was literally sweating so much as when you digging with a shovel under sun for the first time in your life, but in case of OSU first time was everyday, it was always hard. I still kinda believe that OSU can improve your aim in FPS, training your mouse control, but only if you are god at OSU. Dudes who play with mouse and being able to FC some 8*+ DT’s are swinging their mouses so fast and accurate, I believe they must be good in pure aiming. But if you are going to use something like this today – get McOsu in Steam and play FpoSu. Also I would suggest playing only mouse – it would increase your ability to click fast and also thanks to streams – your not clicking fingers would learn how to hold mouse the most efficient way to prevent it from trembling when you tap streams.
