  • OBSE wont work on Steam?
If you are using Mod Organizer 2, then follow these instructions to use OBSE / xOBSE and MO2.
I will just say Mod Organiser 2 is way better than Vortex, slightly steeper learning curve but far more intuitive and easier to use in the long run.
  • little help here? | 2021-07-16
Late to the party, but wanted to add that if you load the game by way of the Fallout 3 Script Extender (FOSE) and launch it from Mod Organizer 2 it should just work in Windows 10. My game is set up this way and I have never had a problem in W10.
  • [Fo4] My game is CTDing trying to reach the vault in the introduction need help
From what I've seen in the other comments here you mentioned that it only crashes when you run it through MO2, you might try looking at the solutions posted here if it somehow still crashes after doing the fresh reinstall.
  • Mod activation question
Quick Light SEs .esp needs to be activated as well. I honestly don't even know how to activate an .esp without a modmanager in SE, so I would recommend using one. The two most commonly used seem to be either MO2 or Vortex.

NMM is not fit for purpose, use Mod Organizer 2 or Vortex. This will mean starting over with a clean installation of Skyrim but if you still have the downloaded mod archives these can be transferred to the new mod manager to speed things up.
  • Need help understanding an MO2 Error message.
Download the 7-zip archive version of MO2 from MO2's github-page and use 7-zip to extract files somewhere and try the fc /b command against the just-extracted files. You don't need to run MO2 for this test.

For future reference Vortex shouldn't be used at all with Morrowind. MO2, Wrye Mash, or both are the best option. | 2021-06-28

  • Help when modding oblivion
What blahs44 said. Only esp files are sorted with LOOT. I guess Skyrim packs everything with dummy esps or something? Texture replacers in Oblivion are loose files (prior to the plugin SkyBSA there was no way to override files with a bsa) so they don't need a dummy esp to load the textures.   You can use Mod Organizer 2 (assuming you are familiar with it because you used it for Skyrim), you just need to look in their wiki how to set up OBSE with Steam, and you need to launch Wrye Bash / other tools through it (I assume it's the same in Skyrim) to build the bashed patch/clean mods/whatever. Not sure if whatever tutorial you found covered this.   I would suggest not using OBMM at all. It's not needed. Unless you go for super obscure mods, there is none that exists only as omod, common mods like DarNified UI have been converted.   If you are not already familiar with any other modding tool, I would suggest using Wrye Bash, as you will need it for the Bashed Patch anyway.
  • can i use mo2 to mod this game instead of using wryebash? | 2021-06-26
To make sure OBSE and anything that depends on it can run, follow these instructions. DLL plugins can be installed through MO2 (with the exception of SkyBSA due to the way it works), but you can continue installing them manually.
