  • covid-19-data

Data on COVID-19 (coronavirus) cases, deaths, hospitalizations, tests • All countries • Updated daily by Our World in Data (by owid)

  • Using cdc, the Economist, and Our World in Data, get a CFR of 1.54% based on reported deaths and reported cases and an IFR of 1.008% using excess deaths and seroprevalence. This is all prior to Omicron. The IFR is a bit pessimistic as the seroprevalnce data ends in 11/30/2021 and the excess deaths is calculated through 12/18/2021 so it is probably closer to 1%. These numbers have been both trending down due to vaccines, protection via previous infection, and improved therapeutics.
