If WebRTC is activated in your browser and webtorrent (https://webtorrent.io/) is being used by the instance, yes. However, you could say the same for Zoom or most video calling platform, if I'm not mistaken.

Tangential, I think adding support of http://webtorrent.io/ by bridging webtorrent peer with bittorent peer would greatly increase/revive the popularity of the protocol

I implemented support for the WebTorrent protocol in aquatic a while back. Now I’ve finally been able to add a WebTorrent file transfer test to the CI pipeline, so I feel that it is time to share an update here.

There exist many alternatives to these centralized services, that have emerged over time, some of which are also decentralized or self-hosted. But many of them are only used by a few people. Odyssey, which is built on top of the LBRY network, on the other hand, is a way to combine the advantages of youtube directly with the possibilities of a decentralized system, and this even ad-free. Also in view of these things I would like to help to build up a solid communication base.

https://odysee.com/ and their old name https://lbry.com/ but they also have a app that you can use to upload videos easily.Only thing with them is it is crypto based, so what ever you upload is charged a fee in their cryptocurrency. You do get free amount of their crypto that you can use to post videos, though there is currently no exchange in the USA that sell their crypto.
