So far all built-in ad blockers I've seen were far less capable than uBlock Origin. For example the one in Brave doesn't even support procedural cosmetic filtering.
If you have a SmartTV/Chromecast/Tv that can install external APK's, you can install SmartTubeNext which comes with Adblock, Sponsorblock, Shorts blocker, and is updated daily. As long as there's even a shitty solution to removing ads, I'll never pay a company to sit through ever increasing amounts of bullshit I'm never going to buy.

Then https://github.com/webtorrent/webtorrent could be used to actually download the videos in browser, the idea being here though, that you would at least seed out as much as you got. Enabling other's to access videos without requiring creators have the infrastructure to push a video to 1000s or more clients at once.
