How do I make a node get out of a coroutine?
So I'm trying to make a turn-based jrpg prototype based on this open project below. Basically, when I called the function _play_turn(P1), P1 node goes into this coroutine function and when you "completed" selecting action and target, P1 can act and get outside of this coroutine (pic below is just a sample, not all the codes in real script) https://github.com/GDQuest/godot-2d-jrpg-combat

How do you abstract "soft" data for your games?
godot also has a similar system that uses the Resource type. There's a great example putting them to use in a system from gdquest here: https://github.com/GDQuest/godot-2d-jrpg-combat

I need some guidance on how to properly expand my combat system.
I had no idea how to start implementing a combat system so I started working on top of the GDquest's 2D JRPG Combat (https://github.com/GDQuest/godot-2d-jrpg-combat)

How do you abstract "soft" data for your games?
I used an earlier version of this system than what I use now in a game jam ARPG some years ago. It was a small dungeon delve with a couple of skills and some randomly generated loot with modifiers. The concept seemed to work pretty well, and now I use refined versions of it in other projects.

New to OOP (and programming, really), tried to recreate the item and stat system of an ARPG i play, to practise using classes.
I used a somewhat older version of this system for an unfinished (and possibly buggy) game jam entry a few years ago. Gameplay video (sorry for the horrible music: game jam quality!!). Item stats were randomly drawn from a table of modifiers and assigned to dropped items. I did a devlog talking about the stat system as part of the writeup for the game jam if you're interested in reading a little more.
