While the actual graphics content is way out of date due to the site closing down, this set of tutorials is what saved me when I needed to self-learn game programming during university: https://github.com/gametutorials/tutorials . If you're already comfortable with C++ then maybe don't bother, but otherwise it's a good starting place before you get into the details of the GPU stuff (do not subject yourself to learning D3D 9).

There has been a lot of library restructuring and redesigning the past months.
A new library has been added axl.ge, being for a game engine. All my attention and effort is on this library and its dependencies, axl.ds, axl.math, and axl.glfl.
