By default, evdevhook currently has an axis inverted on the DualSense, which you can fix with a simple config file change.

Motion Control in yuzu?
As suggested at https://github.com/FrogTheFrog/steam-gyro-for-cemuhook/issues/47 you could try out using https://github.com/v1993/evdevhook. My Steam Deck arrives Q2 so I can't tell you if this works at all - would be cool if you/someone could tell us :).
- Motion control games and Xbox 360 on Steam Deck
-
TIL: you can use a PS5 controller as touchpad on Linux (out of the box)
Motion controls work. For emulators that need a cemuhook-style DSU protocol server, check out the evdevhook project.

DualSense on Lutris
I'm on POP OS and my dualsense controller works fine. I followed this guide though (https://christitus.com/ultimate-linux-gaming-guide/) to install the xanmod kernel which might have the dualsense drivers in it. When I finished setting up everything I just pressed the Share + Playstation button the dualsense controller then searched for devices on the bluetooth device manager. Besides that evdevhook (https://github.com/v1993/evdevhook) is good for motion controls on CEMU and Dolphin.

How do I enable gyro support for a switch pro controller on linux?
Joaorb64's joycond-cemuhook and v1993's evdevhook are probably your best options. I can't speak on either since I've used neither.

Motion Control with a Steam Controller
i use this app for https://github.com/FrogTheFrog/steam-gyro-for-cemuhook i play Zelda the breath of wild and works very fine

Yuzu using steam controller
Since you just got the controller I would recommend using the default controller config on your steam controller settings. Launching a game on yuzu and then going into your yuzu settings and select "Pro Controller" and then for Input Device select Xbox One Controller. Now dont mess with the steam gyro settings use this for gyro I have heard that this program works : https://github.com/FrogTheFrog/steam-gyro-for-cemuhook

Gyro in Yuzu/Cemu?
There's an archived project for the Steam Controller, but it unfortunately doesn't detect anything from the Steam Deck: https://github.com/FrogTheFrog/steam-gyro-for-cemuhook

Steam Controller and Cemu 2.0?
Already have Steam Gyro running but: I tried using XInput and the setting stays disabled/grey (altough that was expected). Tried using DSU and it can be enabled but the pad doesn't really work as I configured it through Steam (to not require click to work and such). Tried SDL but the setting stays disabled/grey.

Secondhand controller input issues - Hardware or Software issue?
I don't know about event logging. There's also steam-gyro-for-cemuhook, sc-controller and I believe VSCView which can all directly communicates with the Steam Controller. Perhaps one of those can log the inputs received.
-
Left trigger also gives joystick input
To verify whether it is the controller at fault have you tried testing it with the BPM controller settings test screen? Alternatively you could use somthing like steam-gyro-for-cemuhook which also can display what the SC is reporting.
-
Steam Controller doesn't move crosshair
The steam-gyro-for-cemuhook program can show you what the gyro is reporting. That way you'll know if the hardware is working.
