Simplest way to get basic programmatic tile OR voxel graphics going?
For 3d there's https://github.com/bonsairobo/building-blocks and https://github.com/bonsairobo/feldspar (wip)

Code review
This reminds me of a discord chat logo of a library called building-blocks: https://github.com/bonsairobo/building-blocks

I made a Minecraft-like engine using wgpu in Rust!
Very cool! I'm the author of the building-blocks crate, and we've got a Discord channel where we chat about voxel stuff and Rust if you ever want to stop by.

Help with LOD
This is my octree code. It's not C++ but it might give you some ideas: https://github.com/bonsairobo/building-blocks/blob/main/crates/building_blocks_storage/src/octree_set.rs

3D library for engineering calculations.
I know a software that does some of this stuff written in Python, it's pretty powerfull but it does not cover everything you need. It's on github https://github.com/jimy-byerley/pymadcad

Modules for 3d simulations (such as robotic arms)?
I tried to use PyMadCAD but once I have created the robotic arm I have no way to control it automatically.
