FWIW, these days Valve tries to solve same problems with their steam runtime. Still doesn't seem easy, but looks like almost workable solution.
It took a while, but I finally manage to add Linux (Ubuntu) in the supported OS for my small game HATCHWELL!

GLIBC update broke EAC for most games that use it

Haha I don't mind the downvotes. I know I'm right. And they know it's true. This issue in particular is part of the many reasons Steam had to come up with the "Steam Linux Runtime", a concept completely absent on Windows. 🤡

Again, I'm talking about the steam runtime.
How do I properly use Proton to launch a game on a different hard drive?

By default, steam has games installed in the home directory. You could create another directory, maybe '~/steamssd/', and symlink it to your SSD library directory. There's a github thread here with a similar issue but they used 'mount --bind' to replicate their usr steam library in the home directory, so that might be a better solution.
AYANEO will have their own OS called "AYANEO OS" based on Linux

That "distro" is for all intents and purposes the Steam Runtime.
Questions about native support vs Proton

The readme in the github will give you some info about how the regular/original version of the runtime (scout) works. I think it also has some links to info about the other later versions

Special thanks to whoever fixed Steam

That would be due to JacekJagosz (not sure if they have a reddit account) for the LSI fix (see https://dev.getsol.us/D13230). Another issue affecting e.g. Dota 2 has also been fixed in the Steam runtime (see https://github.com/ValveSoftware/steam-runtime/issues/510)
