Install WSL and follow the Linux instructions.

The Deck fan also doubles as a nice Budgie belly heater…
Also I would definitely recommend Render96ex, "HD" textures, 60fps, and free-moving camera. I tried a few different forks this was the only one I found with all three.

I'm new to all this, help a guy out pls (easy)...
If you compiled with external resources, then there should be a folder called "res" in the builds folder, it contains all the textures. If you find a texture pack you want, you can drag the contents of the texture pack into the res folder, just make sure that the names of the subfolders match up. Sorry if I did not explain it well, for a texture pack I would recommend the render96 hq texture pack.
