So I ordered my Open Xenium for my 1.6b... Anyone got any good diagrams for the proper points for the LPC restoring?
Here you go https://github.com/Ryzee119/OpenXenium/blob/master/INSTALLATION.md Ryzee119's github for the OpenXenium. I've done a manual rebuild and used a board. If picking up a rebuild board, pre-tin all the points on the board before soldering it to the mobo. If not, you'll likely have a bad time.

R.I.P childhood
This is fixable. OpenXenium + IDE to Sata adapter + Hard Drive is all that is needed. Not only will that get it working, but it will also be a massive upgrade to storage size and features available.

Monitoring Temps in Game & Lighting up Halo Case
Yes, but not as an overlay on your TV. The info can be gathered from the LPC port and there's a mod, spir2par by Ryzee119, that displays temps and fan speed on an LCD screen. Since you have a Halo edition box, it probably wouldn't be a great idea to cut it up. But it is possible.

og xboh modding
To use an inexpensive HD44780 LCD module with an OpenXenium modchip, you will need an SPI2PAR2019 too.

Butchered the Xbox but for a good reason
spi2par: lets you add an LCD screen to the Xbox that is controlled by software, but the interesting part is that this project allows you to get temperature readouts from the motherboard and display them on screen while you're in a game. So, while you're on the dashboard it can show date/time, or whatever you want. Then while you're in game, it switches to display the name of the game you're playing and CPU/motherboard temps + fan speed.

What do i need to add lcd to my open xenium?
The spi2par2019 piggyback adapter you mention converts the OpenXenium's SPI signals into an HD44780-compatible parallel interface.

How to monitor CPU Temp in-game?
You'll need an spi2par2019 and HD44780 compliant parallel LCD module. An OpenXenium modchip too to mod the console will come in handy; however, I don't believe it's absolutely necessary to display the temps and fan speed on the LCD.
