Use SpaceCalibrator to align one of the Quest controllers and a single tracker strapped to the same hand using https://github.com/pushrax/OpenVR-SpaceCalibrator

you need to download OpenVR-SpaceCalibrator for that to work :)

Use alxr for green screen passthrough on quest. Then use https://github.com/pushrax/OpenVR-SpaceCalibrator to align both tracking tracking space's

Are you using the space calibrator?

I'm not sure if this is relevant to the issue you're encountering, but I basically had the same issue when I first got light houses and vive trackers - the light houses wouldn't show up on steamvr at all until I installed OVR Space Calibrator: https://github.com/pushrax/OpenVR-SpaceCalibrator

regardless I downloaded OVR and space calibrator and followed the guide, a video, as well as checked the FAQ's and I am still unable to get this working.

Hey there. I believe the issue was due to corrupted config files that didn't get removed during the initial uninstall. After uninstalling the second time I followed the instructions here https://github.com/pushrax/OpenVR-SpaceCalibrator/wiki/Troubleshooting-and-FAQ and deleted the files listed in the "config cleanup" section. After reinstalling everything seems to be working fine now.

/u/ykeara has a guide over here that should cover it if the nrf24lu1p's bootloader/nvram is programmed with something valve's flashing utility will recognize as a proper steam controller dongle with the right id.

The way to revert that firmware may also help. See this issue or these more thorough instructions.

Find somebody with a Steam Controller, offer to buy them the cheap $4 dongles in exchange for their original dongle, and then flash the firmware to turn them into VR dongles.

I haven't purchased one myself but I've saved this link from an old thread. Same with this page on flashing firmware but I personally haven't done it.

If you can get your hands on some Steam Controller dongles for any cheaper, you can flash a different firmware to convert them to SteamVR use. There are super cheap third party steam controller dongles for sale, and although unlikely to work, you might be able to buy those to swap for the original dongles of anyone you know.

i have an old wireless mouse receiver but not the mouse, can i use https://github.com/ykeara/SteamVR-Dongle-Flash and change a few lines to make the receiver a watchman dongle? yes i know i can buy some but for $40 each.... yea na

The actual dongle is should be the same as the Steam Watchmen dongle ( 24LU1P, this is the 32kb version ), and some comments on this tool suggest it should be able to flash it the same way.

You need to get some steam controller dongles and flash them so that Steam recognizes them as SteamVR controller/tracker dongles instead. I already had 1 steam controller I wasn't using so I just needed to find one more so I did that, it's harder to find them now I got lucky with offer up and bought a controller bundle for $20. https://www.virtualbuilds.com/product-page/usb-wireless-receiver-dongle Don't know if that one would work but it should.
