The ReMarkable Streaming Tool v2: Elevating Remote Work Efficiency
If the goal is to share the visual contents of the pad, why not just stream the graphics over SSH?
I recommend checking out reStream: https://github.com/rien/reStream/

My remarkable arrives today. Which hacks do you recommend?
reStream is a fantastic way to get live video of your reMarkable's screen without signing up for the reMarkable Cloud (which flakes out often with LiveView).
-
Using screen share via USB
reStream is what you're looking for. rMview used to have a reStream-like feature, but it hasn't been updated in a long while.

So thankful there's no advertising...
reStream should work, even with the latest firmware. I know there's a "brightness" issue, but I can't report it because I won't use GitHub. Someone submitted a hacky pull request to fix it by adjusting ffmpeg brightness settings, which should work.

Use RM2 to share drawing live via MS Teams?
Check out restream if you want an alternative, it doesnt work quite as well over wifi but over cable it’s not bad, and it’s free

Advice on Purchasing Remarkable or other e-ink tablet
But you can just ssh into the remarkable, it runs a Linux kernel. And then install software you want. I only use reSnap (which i wrote) and reStream

rmview question. Any alternatives to screensharing?
reStream worked well for me before rmview added ScreenShare support. The main downside with reStream is that the screen share is grayscale (as you see on the tablet), whereas rmview with ScreenShare has color support.

ScreenShare with Linux
I've been using https://github.com/rien/reStream, personally.

reStream latency
I recently installed reStream on my reMarkable 2. The screen mirroring works, however I am experiencing extremely high latency (over 4 seconds) both when connected via USB and Wifi. Does anyone else have this issue or know how to fix it? From what I've read the latency is expected to be much lower (which would make it a lot more usable).
