LG Compantion App "is not on the same subnet as the PC." Issues?
I am attempting to set up the LG TVCompanion app (github here) after entering the MAC/IP/Device Id etc. I attempt to hit the "Apply" button and am getting this error linked here. I have no idea what to do..?

[LG C3 42"] My short review for coding use, some slowmo videos and photos of text clarity at 125% scaling of the WOLED + text, also some scrolling at 120 Hz.
u/Xurxor https://github.com/JPersson77/LGTVCompanion/releases/tag/v3.1.5 testing the app to auto shutoff and starts the screen over the network (my tv is via WIFI)

LG C3 Evo vs Asus PG42UQ
One of the really nice things about the C2 is way, way more people own one, and that means the community is big enough that it has solved its own issues. Literally every issue you can think of has a solution. For example they've built an app (https://github.com/JPersson77/LGTVCompanion) that handles turning it on and off for you to match your PC's state. And even better, as someone who frequently streams games from my PC to my Nvidia shield in the living room, the app has a check box that allows it to shut my PC screen off while still telling the computer that an HDR connected device is attached which allows me to avoid unnecessary runtime (and eventual burn-in) on the pc monitor when i'm not actually looking at it while streaming. The only way to do that with an the ASUS monitor is to buy a dongle that tricks your PC into thinking it's another display and switch to that when you're streaming which would be totally janky.

Is it acceptable to use a good tv in place of a monitor?
There is software for LG TVs that does that pretty well: https://github.com/JPersson77/LGTVCompanion

Another "on the fence" post. Thinking about buying a 42 C2, just need your advice please :)
Check out LGTVCompanion on GitHub! You can mimic auto wake from sleep so you don’t need to use the remote to turn the tv on.

LLVM 16.0.0 Release
There is at least one notable exception to this rule: https://github.com/boostorg/beast/issues/1445
- Learning to build networking applications using C/C++ from scratch

BOOST.BEAST Websocket
I am using this example : https://github.com/boostorg/beast/blob/develop/example/websocket/client/async-ssl/websocket_client_async_ssl.cpp My application is listening to tick data streams of crypto exchanges over the websockets and processing and sending orders to the exchange.

boost.beast
We used beast to implement a market data server(and I think we also did a small client, to test it) which was sending protobuf messages, and it worked great(we also used boost adio, which made it very scalable). When we tested the server, we were generating around 100k messages per second(when there was the biggest activity on the market), I think I've posted here some stats: https://github.com/boostorg/beast/issues/2313.

CMake Part 1 – The Dark Arts
cmake -h. -Bbuild && cmake --build build
to work about 90% of the time. Far more luck than I've had with autotools.
> Its code is horrifying too, for example:
1) I'm sure I could find some horriffic code in meson too if I went digging. 2) The alternative to this is you having to write something equivalent in your own code, meaning that in my code I don't need to do stuff like [0] in my code to detect features; my build system handles it for me. 3) CMake supports more platforms and targets than I've ever seen in my life, and likely supports more compilers than are necessary. that's a blessing and a curse, but it means that if I write simple program to run on some crufty microcontroller with a bastardised gcc toolchain from the 90s, it's fairly likely that cmake supports it out of the box. Code like that is the price to pay for that level of support.
