Dungeon Fantasy: balancing difficulty and reward?
The suggestions to check felltoweer is a good one. You may additionally want to take a look at Dungeons on Automatic, which is a recode of the donjon random generator to spit out populated dungeons using DFRPG monsters and stats. I does make reference to Combat Effectiveness Rating (or CER) from It's a Threat by Christopher R. Rice in Pyramid 3-77. Think of CER like a loose approximation of CR. It does fairly well for straight brawlers (melee combatants). However (and Christopher acknowledges this) it doesn't handle spell casters wells. It does okay with some ranged combatants, but not all. As an added bonus, if you use GCS for PC (or other) sheets, you can link that to your login on gurpscalculator.com. That site will tell you the calculated CER. Not a perfect fit but does give some data/feel for whether to expect a curb stomp by the party, an even fight or that the players suffer a TPK.

Every major foundry update be like
Here's a simple example: Turn Marker. It's system-agnostic, it does something really simple: renders an animated image around the token with the active turn. It worked from version 5 through version 9. In fact, it worked for version 10 for a while and then suddenly stopped working. Somebody tried to create an "alt" version and kind of got it working, but it was flaky. Finally a more active contributor, Monk, released their version just three months. That version supports 10, but does not have a release for 11.

Module v9 compatible like "Turn Marker
If you can't find anything else, there's a commit sitting in the Turn Marker pull requests on GitHub that updates to the v9 API. It just hasn't been merged into the main branch yet. This link is to the branch with the (theoretically, haven't tried it myself yet) v9 compatible version. You might have to download and manually install it, but that might work for you. Depends how comfortable you are in getting that set up and how badly you want the module. It honestly shouldn't be too hard, but like I said, I haven't tried it yet. (Though I intend to in the next week or so once I update.)

Looking for Turn Identifier & Unit List Modules
Regarding Turn Marker in 0.8, the author appears to be absent and hasn't updated their module for the latest Foundry build. However, I've already submitted a fix for the player visibility issue that will hopefully get merged once the author returns. In the meantime, you can always update the code of this module to include my fix manually - feel free to reach out if you're unsure how to go about this.
