  • DFRPGRandomDungeonGenerator

A HTML/CSS/JavaScript based random dungeon generator for GURPS. Eventual goals are to not only produce a map, but also populate the rooms with descriptions and challenges. Game statistics will be for the DFRPG / GURPS 4e.

  • The suggestions to check felltoweer is a good one. You may additionally want to take a look at Dungeons on Automatic, which is a recode of the donjon random generator to spit out populated dungeons using DFRPG monsters and stats. I does make reference to Combat Effectiveness Rating (or CER) from It's a Threat by Christopher R. Rice in Pyramid 3-77. Think of CER like a loose approximation of CR. It does fairly well for straight brawlers (melee combatants). However (and Christopher acknowledges this) it doesn't handle spell casters wells. It does okay with some ranged combatants, but not all. As an added bonus, if you use GCS for PC (or other) sheets, you can link that to your login on gurpscalculator.com. That site will tell you the calculated CER. Not a perfect fit but does give some data/feel for whether to expect a curb stomp by the party, an even fight or that the players suffer a TPK.
