Windows XP 2024 Edition is everything I want from a new OS
I'm using Win10 Pro, and I have no ads, no problems with unwanted apps, a sane start menu, and I run almost all non-ms software on top so microsoft's incompetence there is a nonissue. I can also replicate this on win11 but I don't see a reason to upgrade.
The way there is fairly simple, actually:
OOSU Shutup10: this removes pretty much all the annoyances. https://www.oo-software.com/en/shutup10
Classicshell: Microsoft is never going to make a start menu that doesn't suck again, but others will. http://www.classicshell.net/
Everything search: classicshell comes with a pretty decent windows search replacement, but you should use this instead. It is so, so fast. https://www.voidtools.com/
- Windows 11 has made the “clean Windows install” an oxymoron

How can I make Windows 10 look EXACTLY like windows 7 (literally 1 to 1)? If there isnt a way, how can I run modern programs designed for windows 10 in windows 7 (I refer something that can help you run modern things in windows 7)
Check http://www.classicshell.net/ I'm using that since Windows 8.1 till now in Win 10, still works pertfectly even on low end laptops!

I've managed to get Windows XP running on my modern pc, and I've soon realized there are no drivers for it 😀😑
There are third party apps for doing so: http://www.classicshell.net/ http://www.classicstartmenu.com/

Two sides of people not being able to upgrade to Windows 11
Let me tell you a secret. There's something called Classic Shell, and you can reskin your GUI of your task bar and start menu to fit your preference. It keeps me sane.
-
best start menu?
I've been using this since I switched to windows 10.http://www.classicshell.net it actually shows what you have on your drives instead of bing searches XD
- The time has come, and it’s worse than I imagined.

Apple Unveils MacBook Pro Featuring M2 Pro and M2 Max
IMO, Windows is just fine with Classic Shell. I don't know how people get by without it since Windows 8.

- How do I remove this section from my start menu search?

Spotify HiFi is still MIA after three years, and now so is my subscription
I looked into swapping to Apple Music before but couldn't find a way to play lossless music on Linux making swapping pointless. Apparently[0] decryption for lossless isn't supported for 3rd party clients.
Anyone know of a way around this?

How iTunes Is Changing on PC
It's basically a open source frontend for Apple Music that works on Linux and Windows. It's what I use to listen to my Apple Music songs on Linux, and it's amazing.

- Apple Music/Windows 11 still completely sucks!

Are there any alternatives to the Music.app for MacOS, similar to Cider for Windows?

Apple needs to redesign the desktop app
If you’re on windows. check this out. It’s a beautiful design and works just as good as you’d expect it to
-
The same could be said about video game launchers
apple music will do up to 192khz 24bit on iPhone and the interface is pretty nice, you can listen at spotify quality (320kbps?) on pc with Cinder which also has a pretty good interface
-
